The Appenzell Alpine herdsman's costume has a long tradition, but is rarely noticed in urban environments. But because ISSU ISSU is interested in breaks and contrasts, the collective has dealt with Alpine herdsman's costume jewelry in its fourth collection and taken inspiration from it. In addition to showing similarities in contrasts, USUS is also about reflecting on the cultural appropriation of material and immaterial cultural assets. A three-part collection was created in collaboration with the Appenzell Alpine saddler Niklaus Frehner, who chiseled and engraved the jewelry designed by ISSU ISSU. With the cow, which is omnipresent on the traditional costume jewelry, as a muse, contemporary interpretations of the two-part earrings, the massive Alpine herdsman's ring and the magnificent Alpine herdsman's watch chain were created.
