Santiago

ISSU ISSU spent five months in Chile - the impressions were not only captured in photos, but also on three different scarves that were created together with Alexander Azukar. The graffiti artist captured important historical figures of Chile in the streets of Santiago and ISSU ISSU transferred these three personalities onto scarves: a portrait of Salvador Allende, Chile's first socialist president, an excerpt from a poem by the intellectual Gabriela Mistral and an image of the performance artist and tireless fighter against oppression Pedro Lembel. What the three have in common is that they all campaigned for more social justice in their own way. The third collection from ISSU ISSU celebrates hope, courage and determination.
